You may choose to thread the chain directly through the tag when you receive it. HOW IT WORKS: After paying, send us the words to engrave on the back of the tag, using the Ebay's message system or via email (see last photo). The custom engraved tag is usually shipped within 1 business day. HOW MANY LETTERS? For best results, limit the back to no more than 8 lines of 15 characters (or 5 lines of 25 characters sideways). The fewer lines and characters, the larger the size of the engraved text. ABOUT THE TAGS: The tags are about 1-1/8" x 2" - the standard size of military Dog Tags. They are made out of stainless steel, or brass that has been nickel, gold or copper plated. ABOUT THE ENGRAVING: Our state-of-the-art laser will etch your words a fraction-of-an-inch into the metal. The design is flat on the surface, not raised. The mark will be a dark brown.
