Description: Discontinued Model!!!OK, the story on this one....I don't typically sell Wrestling shoes but these came included with a 50+ piece lot of Powerlifting gear from a lifter who retired quite a few years ago and recently (finally) realized his career was long over. He used these for Ultra-Wide Stance Squats and to Bench Press & Deadlift in so while not technically a Lifting shoe, it surely qualifies as an item that can be using for the sport of Powerlifting.ASICS Split Elite Men's Standard Wrestling/Lifting Shoes. They have been professionally "refurbished" (so they are perfectly clean inside and out.Since these have been discontinued and I couldn't find another pair for sale on the entire Internet, I contacted ASICS Customer service and a gentleman named Jason gave me what information he could find. While incomplete in some areas it was enough to describe and price this nice set of Foot-gear. Made in Japan, they were the top of the line in their day and used by many of the world class athletes all over the world when they were produced between 1992 & 2007.Excerpt from the ASICS email to me: Based on the logo, the footwear was released between 1992 and 2007; we first used the stylized "a" to the left of "asics" in 1992 and changed the font of ASICS in our logo in 2007 to the style we currently use.This appears to be a wrestling shoe that featured a split sole design, which has a large amount of separation between the grip of the forefoot and the grip of the heel area in the shoes.
