ASANTE gear is easy to install and very reliable.This handy but rare ASANTE accessory allows Macs with a 10BASE-T Ethernet port to communicate with Apple Localtalk devices such as printers, etc. It also allows Macs that only support LocalTalk to connect to Ethernet devices or networks. Connections can be either direct (i.e., one Ethernet Mac computer to one Localtalk device) or through an Ethernet network. Just attach the bridge to your Localtalk device and connect it to a 10BASE-T Ethernet port in a network or on a single Mac. (Software device drivers may need to be installed in the Mac depending on the device type.) Please see photos for details. This bridge is still sealed in the original ASANTE shrinkwrap.
