He had been infected with a bot fly egg that was slowly growing in his chest! Trust me we were as horrified as I am sure you are. Newt went immediately to the vet and thankfully they were able to remove it before it developed into a fly! He has now completely recovered and needs a home of his own. He loves to play but is a little shy. We can't blame him considering his first contact with humans involved so much medical care. We knew it would hurt the taming process but it was the only way to save his life. We hope to find an understanding family who will love this little boy.
