Description: Built just a couple years ago and fished just a handful of times. In my area, I mostly fish a Dickerson 4wt 7012 on small creeks and a Granger 8642 on all the bigger water. I'm not one to keep tools I don't use. The rod is in excellent shape. It's straight and the ferrules fit as they did when new. They slide together smooth and separate with a nice pop. The varnish is clean and shows little use. Art hand planes his rods. The ferrules are nickel silver and he makes his reel seats (a swaged down-locking slide-band) out of nickel silver as well. I liked fishing it with a Rio Gold 5wt. It's a faster 5wt, and the slightly heavier line gave nice feedback to the hand. Comes with original bag and aluminum tube. I also have the original label will all the rod's information. The rod is 7'9", three piece, with two matching tips. It weighs about 4.5 ounces. It's a smooth casting rod, on the faster side of medium fast. The action isn't too tippy. It has power, but flexes into the but. It has a good bit of backbone and can handle a great range of flies, including streamers and dry droppers, and it can handle bigger trout in heavier currents. It's quite a bit more new, especially in the three piece format. No international shipping. And, on that note, I've packed and shipped a good number of split cane rods. It'll be carefully packed, and fully insured. Let me know if you have any questions.
