Description: Gorham Martele Daisy Motif Sterling Silver Hand Hammered Bowl Marked 9584 fine circa 1907 MHGPresented is a finely crafted sterling silver Martele Daisy pattern bowl or dish hallmarked for .9584 fine sterling Gorham silver with a hand hammered finish with chased floral motif by Emil Stursberg designed in 1907. Gorham Martele artisan specialty division is known as a luxury item with a higher percentage silver in the alloys of their hand crafted items; American standard sterling silver is 925 fine so there is slightly more silver in this alloy. This is a beautiful bowl has an excellent hand hammered finish with no dents or dings and only some fine scratches from gentle use and an excellent crest on one side of apron top. This is great and fanciful item perfect for use or display in the finest silver collections.
