Description: This pottery wall pocket was made by Shorter & Son of Stoke-on-Trent, England. This is an unusual form; I've not seen this shape by done by this company. It resembles a ribbed beehive with a banner. It has the mark without LTD, so possibly made before 1933. This measures approximately 5 3/4" tall, 6" wide including the banner, and just under 2" in depth. The opening measures about 3 1/2" by 1 5/8". This is in good condition with no chips or cracks. The back and interior have some crazing and staining. There are some surface scratches to the back. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking! Fragile items are packaged securely and with care.
