Description of item for sale: This solid wood hand carved statue of Joseph and Jesus is from France. According to the plaque on the base it dates to 1920. The plaque's inscription is in French and translates as "Tribute of Recognition to St. Joseph from the D. A. family". Note fine details in the faces, robe, fingers and toes. The original hand painted polychrome finish in very good antique condition and still shows its beautiful original colors. Overall this statue is also in very good antique condition with only very minor chips, scratches and discolorations as would be expected in a 100+ year old antique. When this statue arrives here at our Oregon facility we will inspect and clean it as needed prior to shipping to you. Dimensions: 53" tall.
