Description: Stylish short-scale (32") bass with big bass sound. Made in Japan during MIJ Golden Age with high grade materials and attention to detail. Five-piece neck-through of fine grain maple with walnut stripes, ash body. F-style headstock, brass hardware, massive inset bridge, super quality control knobs, concentric nested volume and tone controls for each pickup, series/parallel switch for each pickup. Slap, pop, boom, all the sounds are there, high chords with sweet intonation, harmonics, action is low not buzzy and free from dead spots. Yes, this is a living creature that wants to sing, how is up to you, lots of personality not generic or boring. One issue on the headstock where finish chipped off, more on back than on front, visible in pics. Glue seam is visible, but no wood movement, cosmetic no effect on playability, performance. Priced relative to condition, rarity, mojo, and quality.
