Argentine Model WEYERSBERG / KIRSCHBAUM & CO. / SOLINGEN 1891 Bayonet

Description: This bayonet measures 20 3/8” overall with a 15 5/8” single edged spear point blade equipped with a 2 1/2” false edge and single unstopped fullers. The blade remains unsharpened and bright with some sparsely scattered staining and scabbard marks. The reverse ricasso is marked “WEYERSBERG / KIRSCHBAUM & CO. / SOLINGEN” while the obverse ricasso is marked with an unmolested Argentine Crest centered between arched “MODELO ARGENTINO 1891” and horizontal serial number; not typical as many bayonets had been deface to remove the county’s crest. The steel surfaces of the hilt remain similarly bright with some minor impact marks. The obverse side of the crossguard is stamped with a horizontal “R” while the obverse side of the crossguard is stamped “P*” and the pommel “RA” in circle. The aluminum alloy grips remain in very good plus condition with scattered small impact marks and marks. The steel scabbard retains about 90% flaking blue with patches pitting and small dents, the scabbard is numbered to a different bayonet. Sorry, NO Foreign Sales.. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
