Archer TMQ-20 Head-Mounted 17um Thermal Night Vision Monocular with two mounts

Description: DescriptionThe Archer TMQ-20 houses a clear 20mm f/1 objective lens collecting thermal radiation. The default field of view on this thermal monocular measures 17 by 13 degrees. It has an eye relief distance of 50mm.Behind the lens of the Archer TMQ 20 you can find the (uncooled, 17 micrometer) 336 x 256 pixel microbolometer refreshing the image at 30Hz. The NETD of this thermal monocular is <30mK and it's operating within the 7.5µm - 13.5µm infrared wavelengths.The measurements of this thermal monocular read 110 x 65 x 60mm (l/w/h) and the weight scales at 270 grams. This device is rated IP67. It's protected against dust, shocks and water (splashes). Standard boot up goes to normal 1x zoom (which is actually .5x zoom), but runs at 640 x 512 resolution. The bootup time is 3 seconds and you must keep the lens cover on when it is booting or you will see a ghost image of the image pictured at bootup. So, on my usual bootup I will hit the forward arrow button once to go to 1x zoom and the hold the forward button once to reset the refresh core. Then remove the lens cover. You may need to replace the cover and reset refresh core during use, if the image locks or gives artifacts/static/ghost images. There is a light dark spot on the far left side of the picture that is only visible on 640x512 mode. When zoomed in to 336x256 mode it is not shown. The corners on 640x512 mode also have trouble adjusting to low level contrasts. Other than that this unit works well. Includes thermal monocular with lens cover and two mounting systems.First mount is for single monocular use adapting out to a standard univeral 3-hole helmet shroud.The second mount is a mini-rail arm for attaching this monocular in conjunction with a PVS-14 (on a pano-bridge).
