Description: For sale is large porcelain fish plate or oval baker by Apilco in the Elysian Gardens pattern. The center well is decorated features botanical style art, and text (in italics) depicting Pheonix Dactylifera, or the Date Palm, and Passiflora Edulis, or Passion Fruit, along with a trio of almonds. The oval dish has a green band around the lip. Designed by artist Ronald Van Ruyckevelt, Apilco produced the Elysian Gardens pattern from 2003 until 2005. This piece is in good condition without damage but with gentle wear. There are many marks across the interior bottom of the dish that appear to be from other items being moved around the surface; they are surface marks best viewed in reflected light. In addition, there are some straight lines that may be utensil marks. There is visible wear on the bottom (photographs 11 to 13). Marked in black for Apilco including pattern name and Van Ruyckevelt's stylized signature. In addition, it is impressed with Apilco logo. Made in France.
