A young Janice Dickinson models in a fashion shoot by Alice Springs, Helmut Newton's wife June Newton, a prolific fashion photographer in her own right. The NYC special has photographed a real who's who of the NY scene in the seventies - see rare photos of: Antonio Lopez, the fashion designers Stephen Burrows and Willy Smith, Apollonia van Ravenstein, CHRISTOPHE AUBRY, Didier MALIGE (married to Grace Coddington) and others... Fashion themes are broken down into neighbourhoods and cultures such as BAHAMAS, BROOKLYN and WILLIAMSBURG, LATINO, MADRAS, PUERTO RICO... and Goude photographs people from each group in their locality, posing with models. In one shot an AMAZING painted fabric background is used as a backdrop, but they didn't need this when you look up and see one of the iconic graffiti train sailing past overhead!
