Description: Yarn Winder-Offered is what looks to be an antique yarn winder. Is marked "The National Model Works Makers, Chicago, Ill. Also marked The Eureka Warp Measurer. Consists of a metal body with handle & two dials & a 6 1/2" diam. wooden wheel & two wire arms. One dial has 20 pointers with numbers running from 50 thru 1,000. The other dial is numbered from 0-5 with an adjustable pointer arm which has a bell attached to the back side. The bell dinger is mounted to the back of the 20 pointer dial. The wooden wheel activates gears on the back side that move the adjustable pointer & at some point the bell rings. Cannot find any info. on this & have no idea how it actually functions nor if it is complete. Buying what the photos show. Plating on metal is good, looks to be a quality made item.
