Description: ANTIQUE VIOLIN VERY FINE TIGER MAPLE BACK RESTORED BEAUTIFUL 4/4 NEWER CASE. This violin was restored by a music store owner years probably 50 years ago for himself. When I got it it had Dominant strings on it, one broke and was replaced with a red label. The violin was revarnished when it was redone there looks like three hairline cracks which do not move. One lower left bout , one next to left side of neck, the last being on the right side off f hole. This violin is 4/4 , 14" body. The lower bout is 8" wide the upper bout 6 1/2". The back and sides are a very very thin and fine tiger maple. Violin probably from the 19th c, There is no label inside. SOLD AS IS - NO RETURNS PLEASE.
