Description: Here's a piece that doesn't come around very often that any collector would love to add to their collection! Don't miss out, you don't know when/if you'll get another chance at one of these rare pieces. See Red Book, no. 2812. These ground lip product jars were made by Kilner Bros. of London, England beginning in 1870 to about 1890. These veryearly ground lip product jars are becoming increasingly more difficult to find. This is the Trade Mills Coffee and Spices jar. This jar is embossed TRADE MILLS (arched in a banner) / COFFEE & SPICES (in a straight line inside a large banner) / MONTREAL (arched inside a banner). The base of the jar is embossed with the word, REGISTERED (in bold lettering). This jar is intricately designed in the shape of a tall drum complete with straps and other detailing. This jar which is made of heavy glass construction comes in a lovely greenish aqua color. Finished with an applied tooled lip, this round jar stands 6 inches tall. This jar made circa 1870 -1890 is sparkling clean and in great condition. There are a couple of "chip" like imperfections on inside of jar that I believe to be manufacturing flaws. A impurity caught in the glass. There is one chip on outside of jar, all shown in pictures. This antique piece will be a great addition to your collection!
