Description: Up for sale is this antique commemorative pin cushion made by the Gorham Co. in sterling silver. The pin cushion was made to commemorate the 150th performance of the opera Rob Roy (starring Lizzy Macnichol) at the Whitney Opera Co., Herald Square Theatre in New York. The pin cushion measures 1 3/16" across and was probably made around 1895. It is in very good antique condition with wear to the velvet on the cushion part. This is part of a large collection of sewing implements that I will be selling over the next few months. Please see my other sewing related auctions. I will be glad to combine shipping.
