Description: This highly decorative pair of antique Indian clubs which are hand made of English oak, are a large size at approx 53.5 cm (21") and date from c1900. These two exercise clubs have an unusual shape, have lead weights fitted to the insides so are extra heavy at just over 3 kg each and have a beautiful patina. Indian clubs are a type of exercise equipment used for developing strength. They were swung in certain patterns as part of an exercise program and were popular in the late 1900s and early 20th century. These attractive antique clubs make wonderful gym and home display pieces and super props. Date: c1900. Dimensions: Approx length: 53.5 cm (21"). Diameter at widest part: 9 cm (3 1/2").
