Description: This charming enameled glass powder jar is perfect for a French vanity. Found in France, it has the typical enameled glass decorations over slightly frosted clear glass and a clear bottom. The lid fits perfectly and has an interesting design. Mont Joye glass was originally made by Cristallerie de La Villette, which E.S. Monot founded in 1850 near Paris. The company later merged with Pantin and then went through a series of changes before being taken over after World War I by Legras & Cie, with whom it is closely identified today. Condition is good, there is one fleabite on the inside of the top rim. No other probles.Measurements are: diameter: 5", height: 4 3/8".
