Description: This appears to be a store ledger most for store customers. The first 150 pages have entries. Pages 151-259 are blank. The most interesting part of the book is in the last few pages where it contains "Private Accounts". These entries list the name of a customer and the amount. The top of the page has Dr in the top left corner. I'm not sure if this is a store and a doctor's office. The back pages could be an overall accounting of the pages of the book. The beginning of the book has alpha pages where each customer is listed along with the page of the ledger that belongs to them. It would have been an easy sytem for the store owner to use. There was also also a postcard in the center of the book. It is discussing an order that will arrive in the spring for soap. The store appears to be in Portland, Maine based on the postcard. The only dates I could find in the book were 1912-1913. The penmanship is excellent, especially on the post card. The book measures 8" wide by 10" tall. Really, an awesome find with account holder names and purchases.
