Description: Large sized and absolutely Gorgeous, early Art Nouveau newel post Antique lady Nymph Spelter French figural lamp sculpture, angel winged lady dancing with Tambourine and Castanets Offered is this old antique figural lamp of Semi Nude winged angel Nymph... She is dancing holding a tambourin in one hand and castanets in the other and has a griffin headed Lira at her feet. She has a beautiful leaf branches in the back of the sculpture with open buds and Chestnut leafs. She has beautiful long flawing hair, gorgeous body ... and her face is simply Adorable ! Very detailed work on the metal. The metal is spelter, old patina original bronzed polychrome finish on the metal surface - original with different shades of polychrome coloring - brownish bronzed. Extensive work with branches and leafs on the back of the lamp throughout. Beautiful and charming! The finish on the metal shows some wear consistent with age has a slightly shabby look ; The sculpture stands on a large black base which is original to the lamp. The sculpture is not signed but is French origin- label may have come off over time. Very good condition, no missing or broken pieces, original; It is in fully working condition (it is old and the wiring, and is in fully working condition.)
