Description: Antique Japanese Fukagawa Koransha Rice Bowl & Lid. Hand turned and hand decorated fine thin porcelain bowl and lid. Underglaze blue with overglaze red and gold. Bowl is 4" x 2.25"; lid diameter is 3.25". Excellent condition...no chips, nicks or cracks. Beautifully decorated with stylized wisteria in red and gold with red tendrils. Delicate and elegantly fine mades it exquisite. The base is marked with an underglaze blue Koransha orchid, the mark first used by the maker who would become the Fukagawa company.
