Description Object: Japanese porcelain plate from the mid-Meiji period (late 19th century), produced in the famous Koransha studio and decorated in overglaze enamels and gold. Decoration: In the well four sages studying a scroll. Around the rim bamboo leaves. Size: Diameter 25 cm (10"). Marks: An orchid, the Koransha trademark (underglaze blue). State: Excellent - no chips, cracks or repairs. NOTE: Sometimes we sell a set of items (e.g. five cups, six plates) one by one. In this case we usually only take pictures of one of these items and use the same pictures for subsequent listings, unless there are any important differences (like e.g. damage).
