Description: Up for bid is an antique carved wood nutcracker with a Prussian / Eastern European soldier face. The piece is 10 inches tall by 2 ΒΌ inches wide. It is hand carved of light wood with a brown stain. The cracker has a metal hinge pin. It has a grotesque face of a soldier with a spiral top helmet and a neck collar. There are no marks. Condition on the cracker is fairly good. There are some minor chips, including some losses to the helmet tip, as well as wear to the high points from years of handling. An interesting old folk art nutcracker.
