Description: This lovely floral pitcher from Gray's Pottery is in very good condition!Hand painted with gold accents around opening, handle and rim. Dated between 1925 - 1930 based on the information I found on the Gray's Pottery website. This piece does has two stamps on the bottom. One cannot be read but it it reddish and under the visible stamp seen. "Dual marks are often an aid in dating items. The earthenware producer Johnson Brothers of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, was a major supplier to Gray’s Pottery and its products often have distinct date-related marks such as ‘Pareek’ (registered in 1925), ‘Greydawn’ (introduced in 1928) or ‘Rosedawn’ (introduced in 1930) (Illustration 5). Lancaster & Sons, later Lancaster & Sandland, used distinctive marks such as ‘English Ware’ from 1944 or ‘Sandland Ware’ from 1949." There are no chips, cracks, crazing or flea bites but does show some staining on the inside and the bottom.6" tall x 6.5" wide, spout to handle. I have many more pieces of fine china and pottery in my other listings, such asD & C France, P.R. Prussia, Nippon, Sadler, Jaeger Isolde Pickard Studios, & MORE!
