Description: Beautiful George Wostenholm &Son “The LECOULTRE Pattern” I-XL Improved straight razor set in a black handle. Stampings on blade in great shape, has phenomenal patina with some minor corrosion on the back/end of the blade, includes original box. The blade edge is very sharp, appears without significant nicks, there is a gap at the end of the blade and frame, suspect it is from corrosion, but rest of blade is in nice shape. This was inherited from my great uncle, Earl W Jimerson, President of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America. He had a cleanly shaven head in every photo I have. Original sales shop sticker on box, Alsberg’s Quality Cutlery and Grinding Shop in St. Louis, MO. Sharpened edge measures 3 inches, overall metal blade measures 5 1/2 inches. Handle measures 5 5/8 inches.
