The two back legs are straight pieces of metal which were bent but straightened out with pliers, and you can see this in the pictures. The insert still stands sturdy on these two feet without a problem. The original label on this unit shows that the btu is 20M. The gas is turned on with a turn knob on the front of the units and the Terracotta Radiance tiles that are inside the heater are all intact without any chips or cracks which you can see in the pictures.
