Description: All items sold as is from my late mothers estate so please zoom in on pictures closely.I do not accept returnx. All the info i find is from online because i am not an antique expert..my late mother was. The line in her face in the main photo is just a reflection from my tablet because i tried to show her in brighter lighting. Smaller sized frame around 10 1/2 to 11 inches high and 9 inches length. The young girl is drawn with what looks like pastels..charcoal..and chalk. Maybe even some ink because im not sure what her necklace and signature are made of...but again im no expert. I took the drawing out of the frame to give a better idea of its condition. There is a small tear in cardboard on left and upper part. As shown in photos. Looks like it was from nails. The portrait has a bit of age staining bottom left area. All shown in pictures. There looks like a little round circle of smudged off black charcoal to the left of girl..unless she was made that way. Her face is personally in great condition..its amazing to me how he even got the sparkle in her eyes. It looks like either a pillow or chair back drawn behind her. Very unique piece. This might of even been one of his family members..i just don't know. Shes on cardboard and as shown in pictures on back of her is a bit of a layer of the paper on the cardboard off. Some age staining on back. I believe this is late 1800s early 1900s. There was an oil painter around that time whose signature looks like it could be his. J. Pellegrino. I provided a picture of his signature from one of his oil painting to compare to the signature on her. Thats the closest i could zoom in on his oil painting online.Feel free to look him up and see if you can find a better view of his signature on his artwork. Its the 5th and 6th pictures posted to compare. Both signatures have the same technique of writing..even to all capitals and lowering of letters at the end of the last name. If it was not done by him..then i have no idea. There were no other J. Pellegrino that i could find that was an artist. Its still a nice old hand done picture none the less.. The frame is most likely the original..it has a very big chip out of right top..as shown in pictures..could use some brown stain to hide it better.Could use some more nails in back...a bunch missing. The frame also has some big chips of wood missing along the back. The glass inside has some rough edges around it. This is a very old..nice piece. It has its imperfections but any imperfections in drawing or frame commenserate from age or use...strictly as is. Please zoom in on all photos closely before bidding. I only ship to USShips 12.50 usps groundShips within 3 days of confirmed payment.
