Description: This antique farmhouse box is a charming addition to any collection. With a whale tail top design, it features a drawer for tobacco or matches. The box is made of wood and has an auburn color, with a homemade farmhouse style that is perfect for any decor. The box was made by my maternal great grandfather, Harry Wolcott Sudds, in the later second half of the 19th century in Pennsylvania. We always used it by the front door for letters that needed to be posted. Stamps were in the drawer. The box is about 15.5" tall and is an original piece from the 1800-1899 time period. This box is perfect for collectors of antiques and primitives, and is sure to be a conversation piece.
