Description: This antique English fusee cathedral skeleton clock is a stunning piece that will add a touch of style to any room. The clock features a beautiful glass dome with brass inlaid into wood base and a brass fusee type movement. The clock is key wind-up and powered by a main spring. It appears to be in very good condition but I will point out a couple things I’m noticing such as the string is white nylon that someone tried to color black which is strong enough but real black string would look better. The pawl that holds the main spring tension doesn’t look original. The dial numbers are a bit smudged most noticeable at the 6. The four feet must not be quite even because it has a slight rock to it. There’s a tape? band that goes around the bottom edge of the glass that has worn away on the back side. The clock is in excellent working order but once prepared for shipping will require some initial set up such as installing the pendulum and may need a beat adjustment and to be regulated for accurate time keeping. This original English Fusee clock is a must-have for any clock collector or enthusiast. The clock measures 11.5” in height and 6.25” in width. This clock will most likely be shipped in two separate boxes, one for the glass dome and one for the clock itself.
