Description: The photo appears to be on glass and framed, both are original, over 100 years old. It is of Scarboroughs Clarence Gardens Bandstand or Gazebo. Located on the North Bay. The pier began construction in 1883 but in 1905 a tremendous gale destroyed it, it was never rebuilt. The photo is framed by a brass frame. This oval photo measures 7 3/8 x 6 1/2, frame included. The images are crisp, some age discolor in the sky portion of the photo. The worn frame has a crimped back that encases the photo. It had a cloth tab for hanging but is long gone. Interesting photo with many people attending an event and a good look at the surrounding area. Please see the photos for more description. Thank you for viewing, questions welcomed. No handling fees, safe packing. NOTE: 2 shipping options offered.
