Description: Vintage / Antique molded glass beads made in Bohemia better known as the Czech Republic specifically for being traded into Africa in the 1920s-1950's. Largest bead of the set which is one of the triangle bead measures 16.87mm long by 16.27mm wide. This Czech bead set is in great condition with one bead having a ding next to one side of the perforation. Some people consider these beads antique and some collectors consider these vintage as specimens can be anywhere from 102 to 72 years old. Among the Fulani women of Mali these trade beads were used during weddings being presented to the bride, hence the name evolved wedding beads. These beads are worn everyday by some African women and traditionally on their wedding day.
