Description: This is one set of nine individual antique Bohemian crafted green faceted Vaseline beads made in the 1800's (Bohemia is now the Czech Republic) and eight of these beads were made from glass that contains small amounts of uranium and all of these beads were used for trade with African tribal people. This set of Czech made Vaseline African trade beads is in pretty good but rustic condition with some assorted surface wear, dinging and one bead has a minor pit and the largest bead of the set measures 11.03mm long by 15.88mm wide. Eight of these European made African trade beads fluorescent under UV light also called Black Light due to the presence of uranium and are very highly desirable as they are becoming more rare to find coming out of Africa as they are running out having been mostly collected now. This Vaseline bead set is shown in the first picture under UV light and also under normal light for comparison. Be sure to review these measurements and use a caliper to understand bead size before buying.
