Description: Antique CT Carl Tielsch Co. Germany Handpainted Reticulated China Bowl Chrysanthemum & Gold Accent. Pre-owned in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, stains, scratches, scuffs, crazing, or damage of any kind. There may be some slight loss of gold detailing, but it's difficult to say whether it is loss or an intentional design element. The maker's mark is smudged, but is clearly the blue eagle with a "CT" underneath. It dates the piece from 1875 to 1909.History: In 1845, Carl Tielsch and Gideon von Wallenberg founded Porzellanfabrik C. Tielsch & Co. in Altwasser, Silesia (now Stary Zdrój, Poland). The company produced coffee and tea services, decorative items, hotel porcelain, and institutional porcelain. Carl Tielsch was made a Royal Trade Counsellor in 1861. His son, Egmont, took over and expanded the business, building a second factory in 1906. By 1913, they had over 1,500 employees and a vast catalog of porcelain pieces.
