Description: CONDITION: Wear to gilded rim and stacking wear to interior gilding. Foot rim is rough. This plate was produced in England by Coalport around 1805. The plate measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter and is 1 7/8 inches deep. The hand decoration is ornate with elaborate gilding. Yellow lozenges connect with white diamonds containing tiny pink roses. The center of the plate has a spray of hand painted flowers. Within the border are larger ovals with branches of flowers. The detail is mind boggling. The porcelain itself, has minuscule imperfections that occurred during production. The back of the plate has stilt marks. These imperfections are to be loved, as porcelain manufacturing at that time was an imperfect process. #E585 IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until you have purchased all the items you plan to bid on.
