Description: Antique tintype or ferrotype full plate photograph in Victorian Walnut frame of the period.Clothing attire and bar style pin of the Civil War Era. Hand painted brush strokes can be seen on the white areas: the bar pin, the collar edge, the eyes.The plate is a thin metal, 6 1/2" x 8 1/2". Magnet does stick to the metal.Overall frame size: 12" x 14" x 2" deep. With wood backing 2 1/2" deep.See photos for frame condition, looks like walnut. The gold gilt has lovely design, does have some age related wear.The paper matte border around tin type has come apart two spots.The tin type is framed behind glass.
