Description: This antique cast iron horse head hitching post topper is a fantastic collectible piece, especially for a country home, horse stable, ranch or farmhouse setting. It is in very good overall condition, is very solid and is not rusted .There are a few small knicks in the black paint. There is also a 1/2” small hole at the top which may have held some sort of decorative object such as a knob or finial at one time, but I have no idea what it was, and I don’t believe it would have had any functional use. The hitching ring appears to be brass, and its finish has dulled with age, but is in good shape. Weight without packaging is approximately 3 lbs. The measurements are: 10” high 4 1/2” wide at base 7” long This horse head makes a great display and decorative piece for your home! This is a unique looking antique item with ties to earlier times that will be a sure conversation piece, and a perfect addition to any collection.
