Description: An antique cream and sugar set by Wilcox Silver Plate Co. This includes an open creamer and open sugar set. These pieces features paneled sides with pointed trophy handles and personal engravings to the front of a script letter ‘C’. Each also has a gold-washed interior. The undersides are stamped with the Wilcox maker’s mark to the underside, along with ‘Made in U.S. America, 1951’. 1951 is a product line/pattern number and not the date of manufacture. Dating of this ties to the hallmark used by Wilcox and this particular one was used prior to 1921. In 1921, the hallmark changed to a half-circle and included International Silver since they were a subsidiary of IS since 1898. There is tarnish on both pieces and scratching on both pieces as pictured. Please review the photographs carefully to assess overall condition.
