Description: Antique English Black Amethyst Glass Footed Vase from the Victorian Era of last half of the 19th century.Features a decorative design with scalloped rim, gilt trim and hand painted with bright enamels in the center with bird and flowers. Approximate dimensions are 11 inches tall overall and 3.5 inches wide at the top. It is in a good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches, showing wear to the gilt trim and possibly some superficial scuff marks upon a close inspection. If you hold the vase against a very bright light, then you see the black glass is actually purple. The shoulders of the vase show mild "foggy" opaqueness in some light, hard to describe, but seen in some of the photos. A rough pontil mark is on the bottom, as well as scuff marks from age.
