Description: ANTIQUE LIBERTY SAVINGS & LOAN ASSOCIATION OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON ADVERTISING SMALL BRASS SUITCASE SHAPED SAVINGS COIN BANK WITH HANDLE This is an antique brass with steel handle & bottom constructed suitcase shaped savings bank from the early 1900's probably. This bank advertises on a tag on the front for "Liberty Savings & Loan Association 103 Yakima, Wash.". The front bottom also reads, "A Dollar in the Bank is Worth Two in the Pocket". Bank has a handle on the top and slot on the top also for the coins. The bottom of the Bank is marked, "The Deposit Developer" and shows it was manufactured by the Automatic Recording Safe Co. out of Chicago. We don't have the key for opening it though. The banks used to hold these. Bank is in pretty good condition overall for its age with some natural wear present and some light surface rust in places. Measures about 2 and 1/4" tall by almost 3.5" wide by 1 and 3/4" thick.Wonderful old small brass savings bank from Washington state would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
