Description: A most attractive antique art nouveau inkwell made of cast brass. It is 12 cm wide and deep and has a typical art nouveau shape and design, featuring leaves and berries. The hinged lid opens to a black liner made of an early form of plastic or bakelite. This may be an old replacement for a ceramic liner but it is a perfect fit. The inkwell dates from c 1900 - 1920 and is in very good condition. It weighs 364g and would make a great addition to any collection of inkwells or art nouveau metalware. Please see my other metalware items also listed for sale. UK postage free - international shipping at cost.
