The pierced decorated, heart shaped design is ornamented with a collet set pear cabochon cut 0.30Ct opal. The opal surmounts a round faceted cut 0.04 Ct ruby, completing a bud design. The floriated setting is further embellished with two reed leaf designs, conjoined with the heart frame The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening. This versatile Art Nouveau opal brooch may be converted and a ring loop attached to the reverse to enable the piece to also be worn as a pendant. The brooch is hallmarked to the reverse with the mark for 15K Gold (15Ct). This antique brooch is supplied with an IDGL gemstone grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of the gemstones. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual color and showcases each stone. Condition This impressive antique brooch is fine quality set with an impressive ruby and opal, displaying a fine play of color. The brooch is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition with clear hallmark to the reverse.
