Description: Antique Anglo Indian Heavily Hand Carved Sandalwood Box - Probably Made Around 1850 TO 1920REDUCED FROM 175/= This Antique Anglo Indian Box is constructed from a real solid sandalwood. It has a lovely tantalizing sandalwood aroma. All sides are extravagantly heavily hand carved, except the bottom surface which is plain and smooth. (Please see the images). Inside lid is lined with red velvet material. The base inner walls are damage. The lid is very nice fit to the box. The lid is attached to the box with lovely 2 brass hinges. The outer dimensions of the box measures approximately 21.0 cm (8.24'') (Length) x 15 cm (6") (Width) x 5,75 cm (2,25") (Height).The box is in excellent condition considering the age.
