Description: ANTIQUE SNUFF BOX A 19th Century mid Victorian brass snuff box of chamfered oval form. Internally it has a tin or silvered coating. The lid of the body is lightly engraved. Date: Circa 1850 - 1870 Condition. Fair condition. The box has not been recently cleaned and has old tarnish. The lid closes quite accurately despite the hinge being somewhat crude. The box has VERY light engraving on the lid, possibly worn down through historic cleaning - I have been unable to decipher it. Internally a fair proportion of the plating remains, but is tarnished.
