All original.Circa 1924Manufactured by Einfalt for comic character toy giant Nifty.Stars of George McManus's enormously popular comic strip Bringing Up Father, Maggie and Jiggs were always at odds about their newly found wealth and their place in society. Signed and dated on Maggie's dress, this colorful platform toy has survived in very fine original condition. Wind-up function works, but is weak. When wound, the toy moves back and forth, depicting this infamous couple in the middle of a domestic spat, Maggie with her heavy rolling pin and Jiggs with his beloved cane.There's a small kink in the tin strip connecting platforms, from sitting in glass display case. Please refer to images for best indication of condition. Measures: 7.25" long x 5.25" tall Was kept safely inside glass display case by my father, an avid toy collector.
