Description: ANTIQUE Original WHITE PYREX Oval Casserole Dish With Lid & Original Cradle Dish #194-294, Lid 194 Here is a Very Hard To Find Original White PYREX Casserole dish with lid and original cradle! This is a very, very early version of opalescent Pyrex. This is where the white Pyrex started! "WHITE PYREX" was first introduced between 1919-1922. The back mark reads "PATENTED, $PYREX$" The rest is illegible, but would read "MAY 27, 1919". The Dish is marked "Pyrex" and "194-294". Lid is marked "194". I've also included a photo of the June 1st, 1922 WHITE PYREX brochure. The finial/handle design on the lid is beautiful! This Casserole dish measures 9-1/4" long x 7" wide x 6-3/8" high (to top of finial). When in the cradle overall measurements are 11-1/4" long including the wooden handles x 7" wide x 8-1/2" high to top of finial. Casserole and Lid are in EXCELLENT Pre-Owned Condition with no cracks, repairs or crazing. NO UTENSIL MARKS! There are 2 very tiny fleabites on inside inner rim of bowl (see pic #15). Most people wouldn't even notice it, but wanted to be up front about any issues no matter how tiny! The cradle is in great condition, with no rust, but has some tarnish. Please see all pics.
