Description: Large antique oval shaped picture frame with convex glass and ~1915 hand tinted christening photograph. Measures approximately 25" tall, 18.5" wide and weighs around 5lbs. Interior area under glass measures about 18.75" tall and 12.5" across at its wides points. Back is sealed & inscribed "Lowell Atwood Smith, born 1-8-13 to Louis Edgar Smith and Minnie Lee Filley Smith, Stokes Co. NC" [Stokes County, North Carolina, mother's maiden name may be Tilley not Filley] In beautiful antique condition. The frame has a couple small edge dings and some small scratches to the gold finish which could easily be touched up to match. Paper on the reverse has some surface water staining near the bottom but neither image nor frame appear effected. Photo has some minor surface marks & tears near some of the outer edges and a longer crease near bottom right, none of which are obvious or distracting.
