Antique 18thC French Porcelain Blue Cornflowers Lid for Cup Porzellan Deckel #2

Description: For sale is a lonely lid possibly for a pot de creme / lidded hot chocolate cup or a pot a pommade /a fard / ointment pot or even a teapot that was made in France probably the Paris region in the late 18th or early 19th century. The design is a super common one since Marie Antoinette loved cornflowers almost every maker in this region and even some in other countries made their own version of this design. All similar but slightly different. The lid here has the design of one larger and two smaller sprigs of blue corn flowers all around with the blue and red blossoms and green leaves. A gold dentil trim to the edge and some gilding to the finial which is made up of a piece of fruit with its stem and a leaf. A nice looking example! Could possibly have been made by a maker like Locre but not being marked it is hard to be sure. Definitely French in origin and from this time period. It's a nice example and if you have a piece missing its lid this would be a rare occasion to make your piece complete again. The lid is in great condition with some very minor wear to the gilding and a minor flaw to the edge which is gilded over and from when it was made. The underside unglazed edge is brown which I have seen before on some makers. This might help identify it and if anyone out there knows a quick email would be appreciated! Unmarked which is very normal when you just have a lid. The piece is 1 inch tall without the underside ring with an outer diameter of just over 2.5 inches. The ring on the underside that sits inside the main body is about 0.125 inches tall and the outer diameter is 2.125 inches so the inside diameter of whatever item you want to use it for needs to be at least that size or a touch bigger!
