Description: Nice antique 1878 San Francisco, CA handwritten municipal manuscript, "Abstract of Title and List of Incumbrances: Sub Division 50 vara lot No.4 W.A. Block No. 229." It is illustrated with a map of block No. 229 which is bordered by Buchanan St, Ellis St, Olive Ave, Laguna St, and O'Farrell St. The manuscript is housed in portfolio covers which have been repaired. The text block itself is not attached to the covers, they merely act as a folder for the manuscript. The covers measure approximately 12 1/2 inches by 8 5/8 inches and the manuscript is approximately 77 pages long with a few additional blank pages at the font & rear. The writing is in ink and is generally neat and legible. All in all an interesting piece of early San Francisco history. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
