Description: Amorphophallus Hybrid (A. decus-silvae X A. gigas) X (A. titanum x John Tan) Two year old tuber Another experimental oddity from the horticultural camp of Aroid guru Steve Jackson in tropical Australia. The existing crosses of (A. titanum x A. variabilis) are referred to as “A. John Tan” You can bet that there will be some size here in the future, although of all the tropical hybrids I’ve got, the ones with gigas genes do grow slower on average. This tuber was propagated from one of my other specimens..thats right, propagated from the tuber! Which means expect it to self clone again for you, great potential! The petiole pic is what you may expect to see on this one, similar not the same exact individual. But it will have that very tropical type, mimic, marbling that is gorgeous and lichen-y.This is a tropical type Amorph, meaning that it will have prolonged growing periods that may very well go over a year. And it needs constantly warm temps, and a short but moist dormancy. Granted you have the conditions and the space, you will be rewarded with a truly unique tropical specimen. I grew this from a seed planted April of 2022. It went into dormancy about a month ago, and is already showing it’s about to enter the next growth cycle. These are very rare, only a handful of Steve’s seeds were imported in 2022, I can’t imagine you’ll have many chances to get this hybrid. As it’s the only one available on the planet right now.. don’t sleep on it if you want it! Get em before the snow!I’m a hobby grower just outside of Chicago, I’ve been working with the genus Amorphophallus now for about 15 years. I’ve been selling my propagates and extras on Ebay for quite a while. Thank you to all the returning customers, and buy with confidence to all my new friends!Shipped with USPS priority mail, continental US Only. All purchases include shipping, if you intend to purchase multiple items please let me know so i can combine your shipment. When you purchase a plant from me, I guarantee you will receive the healthy, vigorous, plant as pictured. I cannot be responsible for what you decide to do, or how you care for it once it’s in your possession. Seems obvious..but it’s necessary to disclaim! Thank you and Happy Growing!
